SHALLOWWW F/W 2013

WEEE BUYYY GOLDDD talks about a fashion system that doesn’t exist anymore. The world changes and mass consumption has become an unpredictable network where trends, brands and it-garments die before they hit the street. Since fighting against this system seems like a utopian mission, Shallowww has taken the opposite way and now presents the first items of a new project that adopts these chaotic, dystopian mechanisms, and transforms them into clothing. Instead of closed collections, open textile projects.

In Internet Souvenirs, Shallowww’s previous (and still ongoing) project, internet was the source for digital textures that could be applied to clothing. In WEEE BUYYY GOLDDD, internet is not only a visual archive, but also a methodological model. This collection will follow the evolution of a digital creature. Its growth, transformation and death will be determined by the choices of customers.
